Basic Electronic Components.

Electronics Components or devices can be divided into two parts, viz. 1) Passive Components/Devices and 2) Active Components/Devices.

1)Passive Components/Devices: Components which are capable of operating without external power supply. Examples are Resistors, Capacitors, Inductors, Diodes, etc.

2)Active Components/Devices: These components require some external power source in one way or the other to be operated. Examples are Transistors, FET, LEDS, SCR, Transformer, etc.

Lets start our discussion with Passive Components first. I will try to define most basic components with their principle, function, and uses.

I wish to have a tutorial having diagrams representing component’s working. So preparing these tutorials will definately take some time. I will try to update the site as fast as I can.
